1974 Alfa Romeo 2000GTV £14,000.00 This car was registered in the UK and used as a daily driver until it was converted into a Roadsport racer in 2000. I have owned the car since 2004 and used it intermittently. In 2014 car was dismantled back to the basic shell, bagged and boxed before placing in storage awaiting the right time to start the restoration. Pragmatism and realism have unfortunately overtaken the restoration dream. The central monocoque is in very good condition, the floors and sills are good and it’s structurally very sound. When the car was dismantled some poor historical repairs dating back before my ownership were discovered, which stalled the process. The engine has been balanced and blueprinted, high compression pistons etc. but remains in standard specification and was running well when removed from the car. The gearbox was rebuilt by Competition Transmission Services, Markyate in 2014 and has not been used since. The car is complete, (excluding the seats and windscreen), even the dashboard remains in excellent condition The car also has an extensive archive of maintenance receipts and MOT Certificates. Currently in storage on Northants/Warwickshire borders. james_nairn@btinternet.com 07855 341704
