A very rare car (Carrozzeria Giorgetti produced less than 350 units), this Giulia super 1600 Giardinetta was built on 30.11.1973 and delivered to Autostrade Italiane for the Police patrolling the motorway to use, equipped with flashing lights etc. The original colour was Verde Muschio Chiaro (light moss green) with the classic brown cinghiale/wildboar interior. The car was imported to Japan in 1993. The previous owner wanted to have the car resprayed in this black colour and a very good and professional paint job was recently carried out while the engine had been taken out for total overhaul/ rebuild. In fact a great deal of time, money and new parts have been recently spent to have this Giulia in marvellous mechanical condition, the engine completely overhauled the suspension brakes, clutch, bushes, exhaust, wiring, a massive amount of new parts including tail lights have been installed to obtain max reliability . The original seats and steering wheel are present and included in the sale however some 1750 Berlina seats have been installed to better suit the former owner ( they are heated too) and bakelite steering wheel. The body panels are in very good condition as well as the undercarriage free from the usual rust problems of the Giulia . Having restored dozens of 105 serie to bare metal in past years via my company Portalclassic, I am confident and have knowledge of the Giulia,among other a Colli Giardiniera again bare metal professional restoration back in 2005.
This Giulia is presently in Osaka, Japan with the present owner, the oldest Alfaromeo specialist in Japan. I represent the Company and have business with them since the late 90s. It can be viewed and inspected in Osaka upon appointment. Shipping can be arranged as the seller has over 30 years experience in importing/exporting classic Italian vehicles in containers
