1975 2000 BERLINA RHD £13,295

Having always been always emotionally attached to all my cars that I’ve owned, I have proudly owned and lovingly cared for 'Bella' over the last four years and it's only due to me having an interest in yet another Alfa classic, and need to make room in the garage for it, I am offering for sale, this beautiful, stunning, exceptional condition, Bertone designed, 70’s Italian classic Alfa Romeo Berlina (105) 2000.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of owning such an iconic classic like “Bella” since 2020. I have always to the best of my capability ensured that the ongoing maintenance and the preservation of the car was paramount during the time that I’ve owned her. Throughout the labour of love, she has always been kept in a dry garage and only to be driven when dry weather conditions permitted. Never during the winter months.

From production in Arese Milan in 1975 to the UK in 2019, she has spent the all of her life in Malaysia for which I have very little history of.

On import into the UK in 2019 and prior to registration and my current ownership in 2020, over £5000 worth of labour and parts were spent including gear box and full brake system overhaul. Replacement exhaust from manifold backwards. Suspension bushes and links replaced where needed amongst many other jobs and tasks.

Mechanics/Suspension – since my ownership in 2020 to current date, she has undergone extensive works including the likes of a complete cylinder head refurb with new cam shafts, cam followers, valve springs, guides, re-porting of valves, valve clearances measured and reviewed with adjusted shims fitted. In addition, new battery, coil, 123 electronic ignition conversion, frequent oil and filter changes, air filter. Dell’orto carbs refurbished, tuned and balanced. New radiator, thermostat and fresh coolant. New starter motor, speedo/rev counter cables, clutch slave cylinder. Refurbished rear axle and half shafts, with axle and gear box fluid change. New rear suspension springs, bushes where needed and suspension straps. Replacement of gear box/rear engine seals, prop shaft doughnuts/bushes. New fuel regulator, fitted and tested.

Receipts for labour/parts are in abundance.

Exterior – outstanding dark blue (must have been professionally resprayed fairly recently) pretty much blemish free paintwork. Slight blemish on edge of bonnet and rear tail gate. No signs of wear/rust of any kind on exterior bodywork. Recently fitted new Alfa centre chrome grill to complement the newly refurbished front and rear chrome bumpers, together with new front headlights and refurbished Campagnola alloy wheels.

Interior – unmarked and spotless mid-tan leatherette seats with recently newly covered headrests. Door cards are free from any wear and tear, with recently replaced window winders. Carpet (before my ownership) replaced with some signs of wear showing on drivers side footwell. Headliners with no signs of marks or stains. Odometer, rev counter, temp, fuel, oil pressure dials and gauges, all working accurately in perfect order. Jaeger clock will need either replacing or refurbishing though as has never worked during my ownership. Can’t find a replacement or someone to refurb it. Speedometer and rev counter accurately working since both relevant cables have been recently replaced.  Heater will require some attention as it’s not working efficiently. Never had the use for it to be honest. Period ‘Motorolla’ radio will not be sold with car, due to sentimental reasons. Boot has benefitted from relatively new carpet. Spare wheel holding is free from rust and complete with spare Campagnola alloy wheel and tyre.

Underneath - all solid having benefited from under sealing at some point in her life.

In a few words ,I genuinely think it drives as good as it looks. Biased as I may well be but I hope you will be able to also experience, as I have, owning a true Italian iconic classic that was well ahead of it’s time in so many ways especially in design and engineering.

Happy to answer any questions and arrange viewings.
