1980 2000 SPIDER VELOCE - £17,500

1980 Alfa Romeo Spyder Veloce, US Import. 1995cc SPICA Fuel Injected, Electric Windows.
45 years of receipts and service history. Originally sold in Virginia, USA, in March 1980.
SPICA Injection pump rebuilt and tuned by Stephens Alfa of Fort Lauderdale in 2004.
Imported to the UK in 2009 by the current owner.

This beautifully maintained car has been in the possession of the current owner for 28 years.
During this time it has received extensive rolling restoration, including the following:

All rust removed and panels replaced, including middle and outer sills, floorpans, wheel arches, wheel well, front valance. All welded seams filled with lead. Zero polyester/epoxy filler on the car. Zero rust.
Sanded, primed and painted with 2-pack paint. No Lacquer. Mirror smooth paint finish.
Fuel tank removed, cleaned and epoxy lined. New in-tank and inline fuel pumps.
Suspension upgraded to stiffer springs, KONI shocks.
All suspension stripped, cleaned and bushings replaced.
Ball joints, trackrods etc replaced.
Wheels Refinished.
Gearbox stripped and rebuilt with new 2nd gear synchro in 2001.
Radiator removed, cleaned and painted 2003.
Exhaust manifold, center section and rear pipe replaced with correct manifold and larger bore pipes for better flow in 2018.
New Mohair top 5 years ago. Frame removed and repainted.
Ignition system restored this year, original distributor rebuilt.
New Brake booster and master cylinder this year.
New front brake calipers this year.
New handbrake shoes in 2019.
Seat *frames* (internal skeleton) replaced with units from S3 Spyder, (but re-upholstered in correct S2 cushions and vinyl upholstery) because they include the over-shoulder belt guide on the frame, which allowed the 2 point lap belts to be replaced with 3 point belts attached to Demon Tweeks seatbelt mounts on rear firewall, professionally installed.

Current To-Do list:
Replace truck release lever (£65 from Classic Alfa)
Remove and refinish Steering Wheel
Refit chrome to door sills.
Adjust lateral position of rear bumper to correct alignment/unequal gap at ends.
Remove front bumper to fit chrome piece above Alfa shield.
