USA Customers. We believe there is a lot of misinformation about the post '74 Alfa spiders. As we understand there were no spiders sold in California in '75 and '76 since a catalyst was required, and Alfa did not have one fitted to the spider yet. In '77 there was a catalytic converter on California spiders only. 1975 through 1977 non-California spiders did not have a catalytic converter. In 1978 the spider became a 50-state vehicle. All cars had catalytic converters starting in 1978.
