Meet the team

Thomas joined Classic Alfa in June 2010 as a parts salesman and has been a key contributor to the company’s growth and success ever since. In 2022, he was appointed Managing Director and now oversees all operational aspects of the business, including finances, recruitment, customer service, sales, order fulfilment, and courier partnerships. Thomas also serves as a trustee of the Employee Ownership Trust (EoT). With extensive knowledge of Alfa Romeos from 1955 to 1993, Thomas has owned several notable models over the years, including a 1300 GT Junior, a 75 V6 track car, and a 916 GTV . A passionate car enthusiast beyond Alfa Romeo, he also has a soft spot for German engineering, having owned a number of BMWs—including several M3s—and currently drives an Audi S4 Avant. Outside of work, Thomas is usually found on the rugby pitch or spending time with his partner and their three young children.
Filippo joined the company in 2013, starting out in the Sales team before moving into the role of Buyer and Parts Developer, and was appointed Managing Director in 2022. Before this, he spent 11 years at Honda, which sparked his lasting love for Japanese cars. A lifelong petrolhead, his passion for cars began as a child living in Italy, where his father owned numerous Alfa Romeos, two he particularly remembers are a GT Junior and a Giulia. Over the years, Filippo has restored numerous cars himself, from his first project, an MGB GT, to a Renault 5 Turbo 2, combining hands-on experience with a passion for performance and precision. Filippo also speaks Italian, which helps when collaborating with international partners and suppliers. Outside of work, Filippo enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, mountain biking, and taking on DIY projects, including building his own 48 m² garage, now home to his ongoing car projects.
Simon joined Classic Alfa in August 2009 as a parts salesman after 14 years at a main dealer as Parts Manager. Simon clearly has a fondness for the marque. Having owned a number Alfa’s over the years including various 105’s, Suds, 33’s an Alfetta GTV, a 75 V6 and a 156 Sport Wagon he brings with him a wealth of knowledge. He currently owns a rare RHD 1750 Kammtail Spider, a 1750GTV mk2 and tucked away are a 70’s Porsche 911 and Lancia Montecarlo. His role at Classic Alfa involves supporting Filippo in the purchasing department and organising Classic Alfa’ s extensive parts warehouse. When not at work, Simon can usually be found tinkering with something on wheels, be it on two, three or four.
Wesley joined Classic Alfa in June 2017, bringing with him a lifelong passion for cars and motorsport. Originally from South Africa, his enthusiasm for all things automotive began at a young age, collecting Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars and spending many hours in the garage with his father and grandfather. It was there that he developed an early understanding of classic car mechanics—his grandfather having fully restored an MGA and a classic AJS motorcycle, while his father’s love for Alfa Romeos was reflected in his GT Junior and 1980s Giulietta. Wesley’s first car was a 1972 Leyland Mini, and he soon put his mechanical skills to the test by helping his father transform a Datsun Sunny pick-up into a turbocharged street car. Today, Wesley drives an Alfa Giulia Veloce and continues to apply his technical knowledge and enthusiasm to his role at Classic Alfa.
Jake joined Classic Alfa in January 2022 as part of the sales team. With a background in graphic design Jake also oversees product photography and other graphic elements across the website, alongside his current role of EOT elected Employee Representative. A lifelong car enthusiast, Jake’s passion began helping his father restore a BMW E30 325i Cabrio — now his daily driver, alongside an E46 330Ci. His first car, a 1997 Rover Mini Cooper, inspired his interest in mechanics and restoration, leading him to complete a full rebuild at just 16.
Damon joined Classic Alfa in April 2015 and has become a key part of the office sales team. Having qualified as a dental technician, he then pursued a qualification in motor vehicle engineering. Over the years he’s restored countless cars and motorbikes and currently owns a Kawasaki ZXR750H1, Alfa 2000GTV SE, Fiat X1/9 1300, Mini R53 Cooper S and a super reliable Honda HRV Sport. Outside of work, Damon enjoys running, DJ’ing with vinyl, and spending time with his dog Kobi—now the unofficial office mascot.
Angela Gates is a dedicated accounts professional who joined CA in November 2023. Angela manages the day-to-day accounts, keeping everything running smoothly and efficiently. Known for being sensible but with a soft spot for sporty styling, she currently drives a Ford Fiesta ST-Line, having previously owned a Mini and a Honda Civic VTi. Outside of work, Angela enjoys hiking and exploring the world, always seeking new adventures and beautiful places to discover.
William joined Classic Alfa in June 2020. He currently takes care of our Social Media and Marketing. “The Face of Classic Alfa” you may recognise him from our YouTube channel or from seeing him at various Alfa Romeo meets and track days. Another lifelong classic car enthusiast, he’s owned several Alfa’s during his time with us including a 146 Cloverleaf and his current Series 3 Spider.

A Short History of Classic Alfa

The story really starts in 1990 when founder Richard Norris started restoring his own 1968 Junior Spider (a car which he still has to this day!). His hunt for parts led to him tracking down long-forgotten Alfa Romeo dealer stock all across the UK. This, along with dismantling many rusty wrecks to salvage parts that were unavailable new, soon evolved into a small parts business run from lock-ups in South London. By the mid nineties he was a well-known figure on the UK Alfa scene and was sending rare 105 parts all over the UK whilst still mainly working as a sound recording engineer.

In 1999, seeing a need for a much more comprehensive range of new reproduction parts than were currently available in the UK, he left the music business and co-founded Alfaholics. By 2003 he chose to go independent and launched Classic Alfa. The company grew rapidly by pioneering the UK’s first online store for classic Alfa parts, offering same‑day shipping and exceptional customer service. With an expanding team, Classic Alfa moved through increasingly larger premises—from Dulwich to Streatham, then Croydon—and in 2022 to its current site in Godstone, Surrey.

In May 2022, Classic Alfa became an Employee-Owned company through an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). An EOT places the majority of the business into a trust for the benefit of all employees - protecting our values, independence and long-term stability while ensuring those who drive the business share in its future.

The company is now led by Thomas Bouet and Filippo Venerio, who joined over a decade ago and have played a central role in Classic Alfa’s growth.

For Richard, employee ownership fulfilled a long-held goal: securing the future of Classic Alfa whilst preserving our commitment to exceptional customer service and unrivalled parts expertise.

The journey continues, and we’re proud to share its future with our team and customers alike.
