LIGHTWEIGHT STARTER MOTOR - 3 BOLT MOUNT - 8 TOOTH

New lightweight high-torque starter motor as originally fitted to Series 4 Spiders but made with an 8 tooth pinion for 1300/1600/1750 cars. Smaller and lighter than earlier starter motors and an ideal retro-fit for those looking to save some weight and gain extra starting performance, especially on upgraded engines. FITS ALL 1300 /1600 / 1750 ENGINES FROM 1968-74. CAN BE USED ON 1960-67 CARS WITH A TWO BOLT MOUNTING AS WELL. If your vehicles is a 1600 from 74 onwards, it may have a 9 tooth starter motor. Please count the teeth on your old starter carefully before ordering. These are NEW units with no exchange necessary.
