This is a replica of a 1964 Alfa Romeo TZ1(Turbolare
Zagato Series 1). The donor car was a 1964 Giulia sprint Alfa Romeo.
All the components of this car are Alfa Romeo.
The body for the car was made from a mould taken from an original TZ1 so it is amazingly accurate. The windows, latches and aluminium trim were all fabricated in keeping with the original. The tubular frame is constructed in a similar fashion to the original but with improved with the help of modern construction technology. The frame is a work of art, designed to work with the live axle from the 105 with the GTA slider block. The chassis also features rack and pinion steering. The brakes are 4 wheel disks from the 105 and 75 in the front. The engine specification is a 2L, Nord with Alfaholics cams, light JE pistons making 167 hp.
The headers and exhaust were custom made to fit the car and ceramic coated.
The interior is custom made, featuring Zagato replica seats and mats.
The gauges were made In Italy to replicate the original TZI, so they look very very authentic.
The car was made with all the details very realistic to the original TZ1.
All the cosmetics and mechanical components are in excellent condition. The car drives very well in all aspects, have done a few track days, and one classic rally, everything works and all controls are tight and smooth. A beautiful and unique car.
I have the car finished and driving since 2016 and enjoy very much.
